o Channels: < Ch# 1 to 20 – Click to display the previous Channel group for the selected
Bank. The Channels to be selected shown on this button will change with each click of
the button depending on which group is being displayed.
o Channels: Ch# 21 to 40 > - Click to display the next Channel group for the selected
Bank. The Channels to be selected shown on this button will change with each click of
the button depending on which group is being displayed.
o Channels: Frequency – Data entry field for frequency for the selected Channel within
the selected Bank. Up to 8 digits of frequency information can be entered but the
decimal point MUST be entered for the desired frequency. e.g. typing 4 3 . 2 5 will
result in the entry of 043.2500 being displayed in the field. Typing 8 1 0 . 0 2 5 will
result in the entry of 810.0250 being displayed in the field. If the decimal point is not
entered the program will not know how to parse the digits and therefore an error message
will result. You will then be given another opportunity to enter the frequency. NOTE:
The frequency value entered must be within the operational range of the connected
scanner or an error will occur during programming.
o Channels: Channel Tag – Data entry field for the alphanumeric tag associated with the
selected Channel within the selected Bank. This tag is stored in the ScanControl Memory
Area and data file but not in the scanner’s radio memory on the BCT8, BC95XLT,
BC245XLT, BC895XLT, BC898T and PRO2052. The BC780XLT, BC250D, BC296D,
BC785D and BC796D store the first 16 characters of this tag in the radio.
o Channels: P, D, L, A, B, R, T – Checkboxes and indicators for control attributes for
each selected Channel within the selected Bank. P = Priority, D = Delay, L = Lockout, A
= Attenuate (BC780XLT, BC250D, BC296D, BC785D and BC796D Only), B = Beep
Alert (BC780XLT, BC250D, BC296D, BC785D and BC796D Only), R = Record, T =
Trunked. Certain of these are defaulted to ON based on the Bank Type selection made
above. e.g. If a Bank is designated as a Trunked Bank then whenever a frequency is
entered for any Channel in the Bank the “T” checkbox is automatically set to ON by the
program. Also, the “D” checkbox is defaulted to OFF or ON depending on the radio type
connected for every Channel when the Bank is cleared or a new empty data file is
created. This is a Progrm Option setting preference that can be changed if desired.
o Channels: Tone – Data display field for CTCSS or DCS Tone Code selection data for
conventional channels (BC898T, BC780XLT, BC250D, BC296D, BC785D and BC796D
Only). See your radio Owner’s Manual for details on the selections available and what
they mean. Clicking on this Tone box brings up the CTCSS / DCS Tone Code selection
screen.
